N1 - Patients with immune mediated TTP (iTTP) are diagnosed when they present with microangiopathic hemolytic anemia and consumptive thrombocytopenia without an alternative explanation, confirmed by severely reduced ADAMTS13 (a disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin type 1 motif, member 13) of less than 10%.
