N1 - Despite the biological plausibility as suggested by animal experiments and HLA associations, genome-wide association studies (GWAS) in breast cancer (BC) have not reported any top hits from the HLA region. We revisited the results of the NIH CGEMS study to seek evidence for the involvement of the HLA region in the development of BC.
