    Marco Ruiz, MD, MPH, is a Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant physician working as the new Chief of HIV Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant at Miami Cancer Institute, part of the Baptist Health System. South Florida. For more than ten years, Dr. Ruiz has been treating patients with cancer specifically Hematologic Malignancies and Bone Marrow Transplant patients. His experience with malignancies comes from clinical exposure and from research projects. His research efforts have focused on hematologic malignancy issues in HIV- infected patients and the role of Geriatrics in Bone Marrow Transplant patients. His research expertise also includes malignancies in senior populations and the suitability of senior patients for chemotherapy treatments. Dr Ruiz is an Associate Professor of the Florida International University School of Medicine.
