    Jaafar Bennouna is the Director of Medical Physics – Proton at Baptist Health South Florida, Miami Cancer Institute.  Jaafar was instrumental in the success of the Miami Cancer Centers initial launch and has been overseeing the Proton department at the MCI ever since. He has been working for Baptist Health for 25 years until he was chosen to lead the Proton department of the one of the newest and most cutting-edge departments for BHSF.  Jaafar made Dean’s List while at Bethany College and Wright State University and completed his Fellowship at the University of Kentucky in sub conductors.  He has several professional affiliations including: The American Association of Physicists in Medicine, American Institute of Physics, Society of Physics Students, American Brachytherapy Association, and American Society for Radiation Oncology. Jaafar’s talents and skills have made him a prized asset to the BHSF family and with his team of the finest Proton Physicists and Therapists behind him have set records in number in patients treated with top quality of care.
