    Griselle Pastor is the Director of Emergency and Critical Care Services at Doctors Hospital.

    As a nurse, her focus has been in emergency medicine. She began her career as a bedside registered nurse in an 80 bed emergency department providing excellent care to patients from 2003-2006. In 2006, she became a charge nurse and led her peers in treating an average of 200 patients per day at Baptist Hospital of Miami. She was later promoted to Assistant Nurse Manager where she was able to gain leadership experience managing 350 indirect reports and 40 direct reports. In her role as Assistant Nurse Manager Griselle was able to lead process improvement projects, implement new equipment and systems in the emergency department, while planing and leading departmental staff meetings. In 2011, Griselle was promoted as the West Kendall Baptist Hospital Emergency Department Manager to lead 150 employees. In this role, she had the amazing and unique experience of opening a new hospital and ensuring all employees were hired and trained, supplies and equipment were purchased, and regulatory standards and accreditation’s were met to provide optimal patient care. Griselle was awarded Leader of the Year in 2014 at West Kendall Baptist Hospital. In 2015, she broadened her leadership experience by taking on the role as Director of the Emergency and Critical Care Departments at Doctors Hospital.

    As a leader, she seeks to improve patient throughput in the hospital by evaluating processes and making changes to improve efficiency, cost effectiveness, and patient satisfaction. She has a vast experience in strategic planning, performance improvement, and accreditation preparation. She has led teams in achieving Joint Commission Primary Stroke Certification, Joint Commission Accreditation, ANCC Magnet Designation, 99% Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction, and 99% Avatar Employee Satisfaction. She has chaired committees such as the West Kendall Baptist Hospital Operations Committee and Managers Forum and the Doctors Hospital Nurse Peer Review Committee and Inter-professional Collaborative Council.

    Griselle loves to travel and maintain an active lifestyle. She received her Masters in Business Administration and Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Nova Southeastern University.
