    Christopher Hodgkins, M.D., is a Board certified orthopedic surgeon with Baptist Health Orthopedic Institute and a member of Baptist Health Medical Group, an organization of more than 180 physicians in multiple specialties closely aligned with Baptist Health South Florida. He specializes in conditions of the foot and ankle. His areas of expertise include sports injuries, tendon disorders, fractures, traumas, post-traumatic reconstructions, arthroplasty and fusion for arthritic conditions, and forefoot reconstructions including bunion and hammertoe surgery. Dr. Hodgkins received his medical degree with honors from the University of Manchester in England. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He also completed two years of foot and ankle fellowship: in 2005 at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, and in 2011 at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa. Dr. Hodgkins has published extensively in international medical journals and textbooks on sports injuries and surgical techniques. He has presented at numerous national orthopedic meetings and has won awards for such. Dr. Hodgkins is a native of the United Kingdom. He was an avid rugby player and served as captain of his college team. While in the United States, he played with rugby teams in New York and Miami before trading in his boots for golf clubs and soccer cleats.
